Who are the new people joining Gogglebox in 2026?
According to a recent announcement, Gogglebox will feature its first cast member with Down’s syndrome as two families join the hit programme on Friday.
Football-obsessed brothers Steve and Mark, as well as Sandy and her TV fanatic son Max, who is the first person with Down’s syndrome to feature on the show, will be joining the cast.
Max has spoken about his excitement to feature on the programme, as per The Sun.
He admitted, “I have to admit that I usually have the final say. I try to be flexible but it’s hard” adding, “I have very strong views. The world needs to know them. But I also fall asleep sometimes.”
“I LOVE watching The Voice, BGT, Gladiators and Strictly. My views on the acts are always right.”
Sandy said, “To have people see the superstar, who is my son, and realise that a person with a learning disability can be smart, opinionated and hilarious is very important for me,” she said. “My greatest joy is being his mum.”
Meanwhile, newcomer Mark has said, “Friday nights with Gogglebox and wine has been a tradition in our house for years. It’s one of my favourite shows ever. So, it’s proper surreal that we’re going to be part of it, and It’ll be such a laugh doing this with my brother.
“He’s super funny and it’s a great excuse to hang out.”

The Series 28 includes returning favourites Jenny and Lee, Pete and Sophie Sandiford, Ellie and Izzi Warner, the Malone family, Abbie and Georgia, Dave and Shirley.
Meanwhile, the Siddiqui family, Giles and Mary, the Worthingtons, Amira and Iqra, Tremaine, Twaine and Tristan, Simon and Jane, Ronnie and Annie, Danielle and Daniella, Teresa and Anita, Sara and Lara, and Rosie and Susie are also returning.
