Although she comes from a more modest background compared to her peers, she doesn’t let that stand in the way. Ruby eventually wants to achieve her dream of studying at Oxford University.
Despite her carefully planned her future, everything changes when she accidentally finds out a secret involving Lydia Beaufort, a member of one of the school’s wealthiest families. Lydia’s handsome brother James also gets involved at the two end up hating each other. James Beaufort wants to silence Ruby and protect his family’s reputation. However, their hatred for each toher doesn’t last very long as the two become entangled in a passion romance. Maxton Hall is full of drama, tension and secrets. It’s easily bingeable too.
