You won’t get bored of Off Campus

Here are some really strong teen dramas you should consider watching after Off Campus.

The Summer I Turned Pretty

The Summer I Turned Pretty series has everything that Off Campus has, apart from the fake dating trope. It’s full of yearning, friendships, as well as the messiness of first love and relationships. If you want to be transported to the dreamy Cousins Beach, with music that will make you feel happy and like you’re in a teen drama with substance, then either watch it for the first time or rewatch it.

Maxton Hall – The World Between Us

Maxton Hall is one of my favourites. It’s an addictive drama with rich-girl/poor-boy and enemies-to-lovers dynamic. The series follows a smart scholarship student named Ruby. Her life is turned upside down after she accidentally finds out a secret at the elite Maxton Hall private school. But wealthy heir James Beaufort is determined to keep it hidden and sets out to intimidate her into silence. But as the pair clash, their fierce rivalry soon gives way to undeniable chemistry and complicated romance. It’s a heart-pounding and fun series to watch.

This Hulu series became a hit with viewers after it premiered on the streaming platform in 2022. It’s a darker, more toxic college romance than Off Campus. It has plenty of drama and features strong chemistry between its two lead characters, Lucy Albright and Stephen DeMarco. The show keeps viewers hooked from the very start.

Hockey romances are very popular. Heated Rivalry was released just months before Off Campus hit the screens. It is adapted from the novels by Canadian author Rachel Reid. The series follows the romance between two rival hockey stars, Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov. You definitely won’t feel disappointed with this series, which follows a strong romantic story and characters who go through emotional moments as they figure out themselves, what they want, and their future lives.
Hockey-focused romance with strong emotional and romantic tension. Frequently recommended by fans of Off Campus.

My Life with the Walter Boys centres around the unpredictable life of Jackie Howard. She moves to Colorado to live with her mother’s best friend and her family. It’s a bit hectic, and Jackie learns to adjust. She reminds me a lot of Hannah, as she is really good at her studies and even develops strong feelings for the male lead.

For many teen dramas, you can expect an honest take on sex, friendships and dating, and that’s exactly the case with The Sex Lives of College Girls. The series follows four 18-year-old freshman roommates at Essex College in Vermont. Like Off Campus, it explores the highs and lows of university life.

Greek

Greek
This is such a fun show

  • Runtime: 40–45 minutes per episode
  • Created by: Patrick Sean Smith
  • Where to watch: Hulu (US) / Apple TV (availability may vary by region)

Of course, I’m going to add another TV show about college life—but one is clearly not enough. Greek is a lesser-known series, but it’s one of the best to watch. Set in Ohio, it offers one of the closest portrayals of authentic college life and friend-group dynamics. So, if you’re an Off Campus fan, go and give this show a watch.

XO, Kitty

XO Kitty is a fun show to watch, which follows the life of Kitty Song Covey after she moves to Seoul, South Korea for study. This series, created by The Summer I Turned Pretty creator, star Jenny Han. Binge this if you loved a fun romance, a strong ensemble cast, and lots of relationship drama.

The O.C.

The O.C
The O.C has a stellar cast

  • Stars: Ben McKenzie, Mischa Barton, Adam Brody, Rachel Bilson
  • Runtime: Approximately 40–45 minutes per episode
  • Created by: Josh Schwartz
  • Where to watch: ITVX (UK) / Hulu (US)

Similarly, The O.C. is another fan-favourite series. It reminds me of how an outsider like Ryan Atwood is pulled into a completely new world, much like Hannah finds herself thrust into a more popular social circle through Garrett Graham in Off Campus. Watch The O.C. for the romance, friendships, messy relationships and all the drama that comes with them.

Bridgerton

Bridgerton
This show follows the Bridgerton clan as they attempt to find love
