I kept seeing clips from Weak Hero Class 1 on TikTok, and everyone was saying how amazing it was. After hearing so much hype, I finally sat down to watch it— here’s my honest review of this popular kdrama.

What Is Weak Hero Class 1 About?
Weak Hero Class 1 had me glued from the first episode. If you’re into Korean school dramas with intense action and brutal fight scenes, this one’s definitely for you.
The story centers around Yeon Si-eun (played by Park Ji-hoon). He’s a smart but quiet student who just wants to study and be left alone.
It is obvious from the first episode that Si-eun is awkward and likes to keep to himself, and he doesn’t have much support at home.
But his life is turned upside down when a class bully, Jeon Yeong-bin, starts targeting him, and Si-eun takes action.
The fights are honestly so violent, I had to look away a couple of times. But thankfully, I liked the storyline enough to keep on watching, especially when Si-eun opens up and starts hanging out with new friends.
Si-eun ends up forming a tight bond with two classmates, Su-ho and Beom-seok, and even a girl named Yeong-i who’s not from their school but ends up getting caught in their violent world.
Su-ho totally stole the show for me as he’s funny, sarcastic, and somehow stays cheerful despite juggling two jobs and a tough life.
Meanwhile, Beom-seok’s storyline is heartbreaking—he starts off shy and sweet but goes down a dark path, and you later realize the reason.
Is Weak Hero Class 1 Worth Watching?
This isn’t your typical school drama with love triangles and your average comedy series.
The show focuses on bullying and violence, which not all viewers would appreciate watching.
It shows a broken system, with adults and schools completely failing kids like Si-eun and Beom-seok. And honestly, it’s hard to watch.
The plot isn’t super strong, but the characters and their relationships make up for it. The pacing is good, and with 8 episodes, nothing drags.
If you want something emotional, shining the light on friendship and strong characters, and you’ll be able to binge-watch, Weak Hero Class 1 is one you shouldn’t skip.
Let me know when you watch it—I have thoughts about that ending!
