A chilling crime documentary, The Body in the Bin: The Story of Louise Kam, is now available on Netflix.

Originally airing on Channel 5, the documentary recounts the shocking murder of 71-year-old Louise Kam, whose body was discovered in a rubbish bin in 2021.

What is The Body in the Bin: The Story of Louise Kam about?

The documentary tells the harrowing murder of Kam, a businesswoman from Potters Bar, Hertfordshire, was targeted by two men – 25-year-old chef Kusai Al-Jundi and 28-year-old delivery driver Mohamed El-Abboud.

The pair devised a fraudulent scheme to gain control of Kam’s properties, valued at £4.6 million. They befriended Kam and manipulated her into believing they could secure lucrative deals for her properties.

On July 26, 2021, Kam was lured to a house she owned in Barnet, north London. There, she was brutally strangled with a hairdryer cord and her body was disposed of in a wheelie bin.

The perpetrators attempted to cover up their crime by sending messages from Kam’s phone to her family, creating the illusion that she was still alive. El-Abboud also sold Kam’s car and posted videos on social media celebrating the crime.

Both Al-Jundi and El-Abboud were convicted of murder and sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 35 years.
