It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for! The Summer I Turned Pretty has released its first episode of the final season, and as a long-time fan of the series, I couldn’t be more excited.

After the rollercoaster ride that was Season 2, I’m hopeful that Season 3 will continue to serve us with more drama and romance, and all the familiar faces we’ve come to love.

I can tell the summer is going to be an unforgettable one.
I can tell the summer is going to be an unforgettable one.

What Happened in the Final Episode of The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2?

Season 2 ended on an emotional cliffhanger, leaving us all on the edge of our seats.

One key moment came when the trio was left stranded in a storm and forced to share a motel room. This is of-course when Conrad confesses to Belly that he still loves her.

However, Belly is caught in the middle between Jeremiah and Conrad and says nothing in response.

The next morning, after a heartfelt kiss with Jeremiah outside the motel, Conrad can be seen quietly breaking down in tears, having been left devastated by the situation.

The episode closes with Belly and Jeremiah returning to Philadelphia, while Conrad returns to Cousins to clean up the emotional wreckage of the house and his heart.

Belly’s relationships with both Conrad and Jeremiah reached an obvious breaking point, and she was forced to make a difficult decision about where her heart truly lies.

The finale gave us a glimpse into the next chapter in Belly’s journey.

It was a complicated but satisfying conclusion, and it left plenty of room for the season to pick up with even more drama.

Season 2 ended on an emotional note, with things still not fully shut off between Belly, Conrad, and Jeremiah.

What Happened in the First Episode of The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3?

In the premiere of Season 3, we fast-forward to Belly and Jeremiah attending the same college, where they are now a couple.

There’s in a new place with their relationship evolving but it’s clear that things aren’t as perfect as they seem.

Belly and Jeremiah’s romance has its fair share of bumps, and their relationship is definitely more complicated than before.

Meanwhile, Steven, who has now joined the workforce, is secretly back to dating Taylor.

However, things gets messy between them, particularly as they navigate their on-again, off-again relationship.

Meanwhile, Conrad is away at medical school, distant from all the chaos, but his presence is still deeply felt, particularly by Belly.

Final Thoughts

Without giving too much away, I have to say the dramatic showdown between Jeremiah and Belly.

It was very intense and a lot of fans could see just how upset the teenager was with her boyfriend.

Lola Tung did incredible in this scene.

The season is off to a great start, and I’m confident it will only get better from here.
