A popular spy thriller starring Tom Hiddleston is returning to the screens.
Originally debuting in 2016, The Night Manager is a television adaptation of John le Carré’s 1993 novel. It is brought to the screen by writer David Farr.
The original run consisted of six episodes, directed by Susanne Bier. A second six-part instalment has been helmed by Georgi Banks-Davies.

Drawing on le Carré’s iconic characters, the story centres on Jonathan Pine, an MI6 operative thrust into a dangerous covert mission.

What is The Night Manager Season 2 About?
Jonathan Pine believes his old life is firmly behind him. Now using the name Alex Goodwin, he keeps a low profile as a minor MI6 officer running a small surveillance unit in London – a world away from danger.
But his quiet routine is shattered after he spots a familiar face from the past. The chance encounter pulls him back into the shadows and straight into a brutal clash with powerful Colombian businessman Teddy Dos Santos.
Teaming up with Roxana Bolaños, a reluctant ally with ties to Teddy’s operation, Pine travels to Colombia and finds himself dangerously embedded in an illegal arms network training a guerrilla force.
As loyalties crumble and the stakes soar, Pine must unravel a plot that could destabilise an entire nation — all while deciding who he can trust, and how much he’s prepared to sacrifice before time runs out.

Tom Hiddleston returns as former British intelligence operative, Jonathan Pine. Diego Calva, as Teddy, Camila Morrone as Roxana, alongside Indira Varma as Mayra, Paul Chahidi as Basil and Hayley Squires as Sally.
Olivia Colman reprises her role as Angela Burr, alongside returning cast members Alistair Petrie as Sandy Langbourne, Douglas Hodge as Rex Mayhew, Michael Nardone as Frisky, and Noah Jupe as Daniel Roper.
When Will The Night Manager Season 2 Air?
The Night Manager returns to BBC One and iPlayer at 9pm on Thursday 1 January for UK viewers. The new series will also be available on Prime Video from 11 January in selected regions.
