What is The Hating Game About?
If you’re unfamiliar with the story, The Hating Game follows two people who work at rival publishing companies.
However, their lives take completely different turns when their companies merge and Lucy and Joshua are forced to work opposite each other.
As each day passes, the pair grow increasingly annoyed with each other. And their rivalry comes to a head when they compete for the same promotion.
But they both soon realise neither wants to work under the other, so they make a bet: whoever does not get the job has to quit.
However, there’s certainly more to the story.

In scenes we see Lucy and Joshua take their bet seriously but as they spend more time together they grow closer and find things out about each other that surprises them.
Initially, Lucy sees Joshua as nothing more than a cold office enemy, while he views her as a distraction.
But they realise they couldn’t be more wrong.
As their interactions become less about petty office games and more meaningful, the chemistry between them becomes undeniable.
What started as hate slowly shifts into something new entirely, their feelings for each other are impossible to ignore.
A turning point comes when they share a passionate kiss. Caught off guard by their emotions, neither of them knows exactly what to do next, but one thing’s clear: everything has changed.
