How I met your mother fame

How I Met Your Mother is a hugely popular CBS sitcom that ran from 2005 to 2014, following the lives of four best friends living in New York as they navigate life in their 30s and 40s. The series is told from the point of view of Ted, who recounts to his children the story of how he met their mother – as the show’s title suggests.

Despite his fame from the series, Josh admitted that the first few years after the show ended were particularly difficult, as he struggled with the sudden popularity his role brought. However, years later, he says he has moved on – and hopes fans can do the same.

He told GQ, “People will still come up to me and say, ‘I just watched the series for the eighth time, all the way through.’ And I’m like, That’s too much. You’ve gotta move on.”
