Sofia Carson, the former Disney Channel star who’s now made a name for herself as a Netflix favorite, is back in a major role.

She’s starred in several Netflix films already, including The Life List, and fans have followed her journey every step of the way.

Joining her is Corey Mylchreest, best known for his breakout role as Prince (later King George) in Queen Charlotte.

He, of course, became known for the now-iconic line!”I cannot breathe when you are near. I love you, Charlotte.”

Now, the two have teamed up—and fans can’t get enough.

In My Oxford Year, Carson plays Anna De La Vega, an ambitious American student who travels to Oxford to pursue her academic dreams.

She soon meets a charming local, played by Mylchreest, and their encounter changes both of their lives.

Since the film’s release, social media has been flooded with reactions to the duo’s on-screen chemistry.

On X, one person wrote: “A chemistry worth a thousand words.”

Another asked: “Are we looking at the next iconic on-screen couple?”

A third simply said: “MY PARENTS.”

One more added: “These two are so damn h0t!!!!!!!”

“The looks, the posture, the energy yes, we see the assignment and yes, they aced it,” another person commented.

From their red carpet appearances to behind-the-scenes photos, Sofia and Corey are quickly becoming fan favorites.

Not only that, but the couple appeared to even spark romance rumours.

The duo appeared to gush over each other during an interview with PEOPLE, opening up about their experiences together on set.

“I just thought he was so magnetic and such an exciting actor,” Carson said.

She continued, “Before he even walked into the room, I knew he would be our Jamie. And that’s exactly what happened.

The 32-year-old, who is also an executive producer on the film, admitted that while reading their scripts together, they immediately melted into their characters.

“As soon as he walked in and we started reading our first scene together, it was just kind of instant. We just melted into the characters, and it was always that way” she added.

Meanwhile, Corey says about her, “She’s superior, she’s perfect,” he says of the actress.

“In certain respects, it probably helps because there’s a little bit of that dynamic in Anna and Jamie. Jamie strives for messiness, and Anna wants to plan her life out to an Excel spreadsheet. It really helped because she was wonderful and put me straight at ease, and we had a laugh. Yeah, it clicked from day one, really.”
