The trailer for Materialists has dropped, and movie fans are already buzzing with excitement.

In the first few seconds of the Materialists trailer, she struts through the streets, hands her card to a passing man, and asks him to call her—a bold introduction to a character who knows exactly what she wants.
The next shot shows her carefully reviewing the CVs of potential clients, including a woman who refuses to date anyone who likes cats, another who demands that all of her strict criteria be met, and a man who insists his ideal woman has a BMI under 20.

Lucy is a highly successful matchmaker who consistently connects couples. In one scene in the trailer, she celebrates matching nine couples.
All these couples have married, making her one of the best matchmakers in her field. However, her world turns upside down at one of her client’s weddings.
She unexpectedly bumps into a mysterious man named John (Chris Evans) —someone from her past with whom she seems to have unresolved history with.
That same evening, Lucy finds herself in the company of Randy (Perdro Pascal), a handsome millionaire and one of the groom’s best men.
Randy is well-spoken and attractive, and they share an undeniable chemistry.
But things become complicated when Lucy finds herself caught in a tangled love triangle involving both John and Harry.
The situation threatens not only her personal life but also her career and the future of her clients, putting everything she’s worked for at risk.
Lucy faces tough decisions that could jeopardize her reputation and the success of her matchmaking business.
