Everyone Loves Me Review

I just finished Everyone Loves Me (the C-drama), and hereās my completely honest review.
First, I’d just like to say that if you love slow-burn romances with lots of tension between our main protagonists, then this oneās for you. The story starts off with a girl named Yue Qianling and her one-sided crush on a cute guy (Gu Xun) who goes to her university and begins working with her (!!), well, thatās of course if she didnāt quit first lol.
Eventually, things work out in the end, though – she keeps her job, and life gets interesting for the characters.
Everyone Loves You consists of 24 episodes.
It stars Lin Yo as Gu Xun and Zhou Ye as Yue Qianling.
Both actors are well-known for their roles in romantic dramas and have great on-screen chemistry.
Lin Yo is particularly recognized for his roles in other romantic dramas, including Put Your Head on My Shoulder and Ski Into Love, while Zhou Lu Si has built a dedicated fan base with her performances in both historical and modern dramas.
Everyone Loves Me is a workplace drama with themes of romance and comedy, which also focuses on the gaming industry.
Gu Xun is funny and caring, and loves video games. Meanwhile, Yue Qianling is hot-tempered and is just as obsessed with it as he is.
They both end up at a top company, but in totally different departmentsārival departments, actuallyāwhere they both work as game developers.
Outside of work, they play video games together under creative aliases. The crazy things is that as they talk about their personal lives and love lives, they have no idea how close they are in real life.
In Everyone Loves Me, there are two main settings: Gu Xun and Yue Qianlingās workplace and their neighborhood.
Apart from the romance, another main focus of the drama is the game that the two companies are developing.
Thereās a lot of suspense around how the game will be completed, as things are also interesting as it explores the romantic dramas in the workplace, particularly between Gu Xunās best friend, Jiang Jun, and his secretary Chen Xin Yi.
If I had to sum up this drama, I’d say itās entertaining and silly. All the characters are pretty young and still figuring life out, which feels realistic.
I love the quirky things Yue Qianling does to get Gu Xunās attention, and vice versa.
There are also some really funny moments in the drama, like when the characters get drunk and do crazy things. Plus, the secondary characters make the show fun too. Also, the songs in this were chef’s kiss.
The series has great writing and is a lighthearted and meaningful depiction of love and friendship.
It features a lot of beautiful cinematography, however, the only fault I have is the fact that some cliffhangers felt unnecessary.
But if youāre into fun romantic dramas, Everyone Loves Me is definitely worth checking out!
