Aaron Pierre has proven himself as a versatile actor. The star has made waves in the industry having starred in Mufasa: The Lion King.
Born in West Croydon, Aaron is the eldest of three siblings. According to The Guardian newspaper, his family has a diverse heritage, with Jamaican, Curaçaoan, and Sierra Leonean roots.
As an actor and performer, Pierre trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts before starring in his first major role, playing Dev-Em in the sci-fi series Krypton. The internet had gone into a frenzy over his musical talents.

In Mufasa: The Lion King (2024), Aaron Pierre voices the character of Mufasa in this prequel to Disney’s The Lion King.
We follow Mufasa as a youngster before he takes over the Pride Lands.
We also get to see Mufasa’s relationship with his brother Scar, years before he becomes king.
Brother – (2022)
In Brother (2022), Aaron stars as Francis.
The film follows the journey of two brothers, Francis and Michael, growing up in a Caribbean family in Toronto. As they navigate the challenges of identity, family expectations, and what it means to be a man, they find themselves caught in the energy and struggles of the city’s emerging hip-hop culture.
Rebel Bridge – (2024)
In Rebel Ridge, Aaron plays a character caught in a web of corruption and injustice.
The film follows a former Marine who returns to his small hometown and finds himself up against crooked local law enforcement. When they wrongfully take a bag of cash he needs to bail out his cousin, he’s forced to fight back, facing danger and betrayal as he tries to get the money back and expose the corruption in the town.
The Underground Railroad (2021)
Aaron Pierre plays Caesar, a runaway slave on a harrowing journey toward freedom. The series is directed by Barry Jenkins and based on Colson Whitehead’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel.
The cast also includes Thuso Mbedu as Cora Randall, Chase W. Dillon as Homer, Ridgeway’s assistant, Joel Edgerton as Arnold Ridgeway, a slave catcher Fred Hechinger as young Arnold[a], Peter Mullan as Ridgeway Senior, father of Arnold Ridgeway, Mychal-Bella Bowman as Fanny Briggs/Grace, Sheila Atim as Mabel.

Old (2021)
Directed by M. Night Shyamalan, this mystery-thriller sees Aaron Pierre in a supporting role.
The film centers on a group of vacationers who discover a secluded beach where time accelerates their aging process at an alarming rate. As the group struggles to understand what’s happening, they must race against time to unravel the mystery and find a way to escape before they grow too old.
Genius (2024)
The Genius series is an anthology drama produced by National Geographic that showcases the lives of remarkable historical figures. In Season 4 of the show, Aaron appeared as Malcom X.

Britannia (2018)
Created by Jez Butterworth and Tom Butterworth, Britannia is a British historical fantasy drama.
Set in 43 AD, Britannia takes place during the Roman invasion of Britain, following Julius Caesar’s failed attempts 90 years earlier. Pierre played Antonius.
The A Word (2015)
Aaron Pierre played James Thorne in The A Word.
The A Word is a British drama series that follows the journey of a young boy named Joe who is diagnosed with autism. The show primarily focuses on how Joe’s diagnosis affects his family, particularly his parents, Paul and Alison, as well as his extended family and friends
