Season 1 Episode 5 – The Duke and I
The first episode on the list – and it seems the most beloved to Bridgerton fans.
“The Duke and I” episode is full of drama! The plot thickens as Simon and Daphne as they face the consequences of their secret garden tryst. The couple must act quickly to protect their reputations and fend off scandalous rumors from Lady Whistledown’s gossip column.
Meanwhile, the subplot involving Marina Thompson also plays a significant role in the episode. Marina, who is secretly pregnant, plots a way to secure a marriage proposal to protect her reputation.
Season 1 Episode 8 – After the Rain
In the last episode of the Bridgerton series, the Duke and Duchess of Hastings host a grand ball. The ball is a lavish affair that marks the end of the social season.
Throughout the season, Simon has struggled to be honest about his feelings, but now he takes a chance to open up to his wife Daphne, admitting his unresolved issues with his father. At the ball, Daphne and Simon have a heart-to-heart conversation that leads to a resolution of their tensions. And of, course Lady Whistledown’s identity still remains a mystery.
Season 1 Episode 4 – An Affair of Honor
This episode is a good one although unexpected. As a protective brother to Daphne, Anthony is troubled by the fact that Simon has been getting too close to his sister and believes him of dishonoring her.
As well as being conflicted in his own emotions, Anthony Bridgerton, challenges Simon to a duel, which is referred to as an “affair of honor.” The episode also features Eloise who is on a ruthless mission to find out who Lady Whistledown is.
Season 1 Episode 7 – Oceans Apart
Things are tense for newlyweds Simon and Daphne. The pair are still dealing with the tension in their marriage, particularly after Daphne’s realisation about Simon’s secret vow to never have children.
Season 1 Episode 3 – Art of the Swoon
The storyline centers on Daphne Bridgerton’s growing popularity in high society, particularly after catching the eye of a royal suitor, Prince Friedrich.
Meanwhile, Lady Featherington, Marina Thompson’s guardian, pressures Marina to marry quickly in order to avoid scandal.
Season 1 Episode 6 – Swish
In this episode of Bridgerton, we witness a turning point in Daphne and Simon’s relationship.
Daphne, who has been frustrated and confused by Simon’s behavior in their marriage, finally uncovers the truth about his past and the real reason he has been reluctant to have children. Elsewhere, Colin makes a decision about Marina Thompson.
