The festive season is now in full swing, and I’m so grateful to curl up and dive into some incredible new titles. There’s nothing quite like switching on the fairy lights, grabbing a cosy blanket, and settling in for a good holiday film.

In this blog post, we’ll take a look at both newer releases and beloved classics, sharing some unmissable Christmas flicks you absolutely need to add to your watchlist. Here are 15 Christmas movies to watch on Netflix right now.

A Merry Little Ex-Mas

This film has been trending already, and stars none other than the likes of Alicia Silverstone and Oliver Hudson. It landed on the streaming platform on November 12, 2025. The supportive cast members are Jameela Jamil, Pierson Fode, Linda Kash, and Melissa Joan Hart. Written by Holly Hester and directed by Steve Carr, in A Merry Little Ex-Mas, we follow a couple who have been divorced as they promised to have one last traditional family Christmas together. But things take an unexpected turn when the husband’s new girlfriend arrives.

Champagne Problems

Netflix is uncorking a new seasonal treat with Champagne Problems, a romantic comedy directed by Mark Steven Johnson. Released on November 19, 2025, this 99-minute film is exactly what you need to watch this Christmas season. The story follows an ambitious American businesswoman (played by Minka Kelly) who jets off to France to secure an exclusive luxury-champagne order before Christmas. But in true holiday-movie fashion, business plans bubble over into unexpected feelings when she crosses paths with a handsome Frenchman. The film’s ensemble cast includes Tom Wozniczka, Thibault de Montalembert, Sean Amsing, Flula Borg, Astrid Whettnall, and Xavier Samuel.

Jingle Bell Heist

Netflix’s Jingle Bell Heist should go straight onto your festive must-watch list. Releasing November 26, 2025, the plot follows a Christmas Eve crime that definitely doesn’t go according to plan. The story centers on two thieves – Sophia (Olivia Holt) and Nick (Connor Swindells) – who both roll up to a London department store with the exact same idea: pull off a holiday heist. Naturally, chaos (and romance) follow. Directed by Michael Fimognari and written by Abby McDonald, Jingle Bell Heist has been made by ACE Entertainment and TeaShop Films, with Matt Kaplan producing. The cast is also includes Lucy Punch and Peter Serafinowicz.

My Secret Santa

If you’re looking for an easy holiday watch, My Secret Santa might be one to add to your list. Directed by Michael Rohl and written by Ron Oliver and Carley Smale, this Netflix holiday film – produced by Howard Braunstein and Alexander Braunstein – follows a single mother who loses her job and, desperate to support her daughter, disguises herself as an elderly man to get hired as a ski resort’s Santa Claus. Funnily enough, the resort manager starts to suspect something is off, all while she begins to fall for the owner’s handsome son.

The movie features a familiar cast including Alexandra Breckenridge, Ryan Eggold, Tia Mowry, Madison MacIsaac, Diana Maria Riva, and Dominic Fox. It comes from Netflix Studios and Howard Braunstein Films, with editing by Daria Ellerma and will be released on December 3, 2025.

That Christmas

That Christmas is a cozy 2024 animated Christmas-fantasy comedy from writer Richard Curtis. Directed by Simon Otto in his feature debut and produced by Locksmith Animation, the film weaves together several heartfelt holiday stories based on That Christmas and Other Stories by Curtis and illustrator Rebecca Cobb. Brian Cox, Fiona Shaw, Jodie Whittaker, and Bill Nighy have lent their voices in That Christmas. Premiering at the BFI London Film Festival before landing on Netflix in December 2024, That Christmas is comfort holiday movie.

The Merry Gentlemen

A The Merry Gentlemen is one of Netflix’s popular holiday releases. Directed by Peter Sullivan, this Christmas tale follows a determined Broadway dancer who launches a Christmas-themed male revue in a last-ditch effort to save her parents’ beloved performing venue. It’s led by Britt Robertson and Chad Michael Murray, with a screenplay by Marla Sokoloff and a story crafted by Jeffrey Schenck and Sullivan. Produced by Hybrid and Gentleman Media Group, That Merry Gentlemen was released by Netflix on November 20, 2024.

Meet Me Next Christmas

Released on Netflix on November 6, 2024, Meet Me Next Christmas is a great watch for any film fans looking for a festive treat. Directed by Rusty Cundieff, with a script penned by Camilla Rubis and Molly Haldeman, the story follows Christina Milian, who leads a vibrant cast including Devale Ellis, Kofi Siriboe, and Tymika Tafari. Fans of Pentatonix will also spot familiar faces, with Mitch Grassi, Scott Hoying, Kirstin Maldonado, Kevin Olusola, and Matt Sallee.

Hot Frosty

Hot Frosty, released November 13, 2024, is now streaming on Netflix. The movie follows Kathy Barrett, a widowed diner owner in Hope Springs whose life changes when a snowman she decorates magically comes to life as Jack. Directed by Jerry Ciccoritti and written by Russell Hainline, the film is produced by Joel S. Rice and Michael Barbuto. It stars Lacey Chabert, Dustin Milligan, Katy Mixon Greer, Lauren Holly, Chrishell Stause, Joe Lo Truglio, and Craig Robinson.

Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey

If you’re in the mood for a holiday musical, Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey should be your number 1 choice. Released November 13, 2020, the film is both written and directed by David E. Talbert, with producers Lyn Sisson-Talbert, David E. Talbert, Kristin Burr, John Legend, Mike Jackson, and David McIlvain. The story centers on legendary toymaker Jeronicus Jangle, who has lost his creative spark. sparkHis bright, fearless granddaughter Journey arrives and helps him rediscover his love for the art – just in time for Christmas.

Goodbye June

Goodbye June arrives this December as Netflix’s new festive royal-romance. Directed and co-produced by Kate Winslet, the film centres on four siblings whose lives change when their ailing mother takes a turn for the worse over the holiday season. The cast includes Toni Collette, Johnny Flynn, Andrea Riseborough, Timothy Spall, Helen Mirren, and Winslet herself.

The Princess Switch

The Princess Switch – Vanessa Hudgens doubles the fun as two look-alikes who swap lives in this festive rom-com. The Princess Switch first dropped on Netflix on 16 November 2018. Alongside Hudgens, actors Sam Palladio and Nick Sagar also star in the movie.

Holidate

Holidate features Emma Roberts, Luke Bracey, Jake Manley, Kristin Chenoweth, Jessica Capshaw, and others. Released on Netflix on 28 October 2020, it follows two strangers who agree to be each other’s no-strings-attached holiday dates.

Angela’s Christmas

An animated short that premiered on Netflix on 30 November 2018. It tells the story of a child trying to warm the baby Jesus in the nativity. The voice cast includes Lucy O’Connellas, Angela, Ruth Negga, and Malachy McCourt as the narrator.

A Christmas Prince

A Christmas Prince stars Rose McIver as Amber, an American journalist, and Ben Lamb as Prince Richard. Released on Netflix on 17 November 2017, the story follows Amber when she’s sent to the fictional kingdom of Aldovia to cover a royal press conference.

Nativity!

This British comedy film was released in cinemas on 27 November 2009. Nativity! (as the title suggests) centres on a school’s chaotic nativity play. It stars Martin Freeman, Ashley Jensen, Marc Wootton, Jason Watkins, Pam Ferris, and Alan Carr.
