What is Chad Powers about?
The series follows a college quarterback named Russ Holliday who adopts the alias “Chad Powers” in an attempt to reclaim his career. This comes after a major incident at a championship game that tarnished his reputation and derailed his future in football.
He joins a Southern football team, hoping to relive his glory days and prove himself once again.
The series was created by Glen Powell and Michael Waldron.
The cast includes Powell in the title role, along with Steve Zahn, Toby Huss, Perry Mattfeld, Clayne Crawford, Wynn Everett, Frankie A. Rodriguez, Colton Ryan, Keese Wilson, Xavier Mills, and Quentin Plair.
When is Chad Powers set to be released on Hulu?
Chad Powers will premiere its first two episodes on Hulu on Tuesday, September 30th.
After that, new episodes will be released weekly on the streaming platform, leading up to the season finale on Tuesday, October 28th.
Is Chad Powers Based on a True Story?
While the series is fictional, the character of Chad Powers was originally introduced by NFL quarterback Eli Manning in a viral sketch for Eli’s Places on ESPN+. Manning went undercover as a walk-on quarterback at Penn State using the name “Chad Powers.”
