Conrad is finally back after being away at medical school and he did not expect that news from Jeremiah and Belly!

Okay, did anyone else completely lose their minds over that episode? It was full of drama, and I did not see it coming. We finally had the whole Cousins clan back together, reuniting in memory of Susannah. There was also a dinner that erupted into chaos—and I definitely had my popcorn ready for that one.

What happened in The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 episode 3

If you haven’t read my review of episode two, have a read here.

Jeremiah’s redemption arc

Jeremiah appears to be making an effort to correct his past wrongs, and Belly is starting to forgive him. For now, the two are in sync again, and he seems to be back in her good graces.

Their relationship has been serious ever since they got together, but a major decision has rocked their romance.

Without giving too much away, it’s clear that whatever’s happening between them is going to challenge them both and even force them to grow up fast.

Conrad’s return

Conrad is back, and his absence has definitely been felt.

He’s been spending as much time away at medical school, but throughout the summer, he’s been reflecting on his past and life in Cousins, involving his romance with Belly.

He still refuses to attend Sussanah’s ceremony until his friend Agnes convinces him to go to get closure. But seeing him clearly stirs up past emotions for Belly.

Belly & Taylor’s big moment

Belly makes a huge life choice in this episode and turns to her best friend Taylor for support.

Taylor’s initial reaction to Belly’s news is shock, and she even wonders if Belly’s okay -but once the dust settles, their friendship strengthens.

Steven & Taylor’s reconnection

Steven and Taylor are trying to find their footing again. After everything they’ve been through, there’s a real chance for both sides to make things work.

Steven’s still recovering from a car accident; meanwhile, Taylor is dealing with some big family issues—particularly around his mom’s struggling salon.

That dinner scene

Without giving any spoilers, there’s a dinner scene that erupts into chaos. Dare I say, but it might be one of the most memorable of the series so far.

Final thoughts💌

The episode ends on a dramatic note, with characters walking away from the drama, or left wondering what just happened. If you’re watching closely, you’ll notice small details that hint at bigger shifts to come.

With a major decision hanging in the air and old feelings rising to the surface, the stage is clearly being set for even more drama and heartbreak – and I can’t wait for this all to unfold.
