I’m going to break down the drama that’s unfolded in the Love Island villa over the past few days.

Love Island Review.
Things got very tense in the Love Island villa!

We’ve already witnessed a dramatic fallout, a sneaky Hideaway hookup, and the first recoupling of the season.

Grab your popcorn…

Episode 4

After sharing a kiss in the Hideaway, Shakira and Blu found themselves facing the heat from their fellow Islanders.

Shakira, in particular, had to explain her actions to Harry, whom she was coupled up with.

However, Harry had also been sneaking around—flirting with Helena—and even managed to spend time with her in the Hideaway.

Furious, Shakira broke things off with him the next day, although Harry still wanted to continue their connection.

After a dramatic confession around the firepit from Remell, Alima finally spoke up to clear the air. It seemed like things were okay between them—for now.

Tommy opened up about his feelings, revealing that he really likes Megan but has been keeping his guard up because he’s afraid of getting hurt.

Then, the Islanders received a dramatic text: another recoupling was about to take place, and this time, the girls would be choosing the boys.

The speeches were sweet, but unfortunately, two boys were left standing at the firepit—Blu and Shea.

I particularly enjoyed this episode because of a twist that’s never been done before.

Usually, when two or more people are left single after a recoupling, the Islanders decide who stays. However, that wasn’t the case tonight—the boys had to decide between themselves.

Talk about a cliffhanger!

Episode 5

Today felt like a slightly shorter episode, but it certainly didn’t lack drama.

It kicked off with a tense standoff between Shea and Blu, both left single after the latest recoupling.

Neither volunteered to leave, so the decision was left up to the rest of the Islanders.

After much deliberation, the group chose to dump one boy, which left some people emotional.

I’m absolutely loving Dejon and Meg! The way they’re bonding—and that cute little handshake they have? Adorable.

Shea is still grafting Megan, but it’s clear she isn’t interested.

Ben seems sweet with Shakira, but are they forcing it? I think so.

Then, the boys were sent out of the villa on dates with three new female bombshells: Yasmin Pettet, Malisha Jordan, and Emily Morann.

The girls back at the villa were fuming as they watched the dates on the big screen, especially after some of the boys’ cheeky comments.

That was some juicy stuff!

Episode 7

The drama truly exploded in the Love Island villa on Sunday night!

After the boys came back from their dates, there was a lot of awkward tension—especially between Meg and Dejon, and Harry and Helena.

Their flirty chats on the dates left the girls absolutely fuming.

Conor was the only one who remained respectful on his date, since he’s coupled up with Toni. The girls weren’t convinced the same could be said for Dejon and Harry, who were both picked by the new girls.

Helena was fuming at Harry over his disrespectful comments around the firepit. Meanwhile, Meg also came for Dejon.

There was also some tension between Malisha and Dejon—which, let’s be honest, we love to see.

I also love the new Hideaway twist—letting anyone who isn’t in a couple spend the night is a great addition.

However, the constant stream of new bombshells is starting to feel excessive. We’re only a few days in and already drowning in bombshells.

Not to mention the drastic dumpings already.

I think Helena was right to call out Harry. I don’t like his double standards, and honestly, I don’t think he’s serious enough—or deserving of Helena’s attention.

At this point, I’m also getting really bored of some of the boys, especially Shea and Remell.

Remell’s made it pretty obvious he’s a player. It seems like he’s forcing things with Alima just to stay in the villa.

Meanwhile, Shea barely has a personality. He doesn’t seem that interesting.

He hasn’t opened up much about himself—like his work, hobbies, etc.

And to end the episode with a dramatic fallout between Malisha and Meg? ICONIC.

It all kicked off after Malisha wanted to get Dejon in the Hideaway…But you can’t blame the girl! Overall, loved this episode!
